Pre-K Curriculum

For ages 4 1/2 to 5. (8:30-1:00)

Working alongside our kindergartners, pre-k students enjoy games, songs, shared stories, dramatic play and hands-on activities; they have the opportunity to partake of early math and literacy activities with the kindergarten group. While the two teachers of the pre-k/k group frequently co-teach, one focuses her energy specifically on the pre-k group. Full enrollment in the pre-kindergarten program is 9 students. (Please note that students admitted to the pre-k group must be 4 1/2 by September 1. Parents should consider carefully whether their child's needs would be best met with a peer group of same-age and slightly younger students, such as our preschool program or with same-age and somewhat older students which is the pre-k program.)
